Planning new beginnings - but then curveballs get in the way!

Updated: Jan 8

Changing my name to Energetic Mastery was my new beginning – a simple reason - unable to get the website name for my previous Raising Vibrations, it was simply a new name with a website to match (which will be live very soon). It was great to tidy everything up.

However, life had other ideas and superseded that, throwing me what some would call ‘curveballs’.

My Reiki practice....

We had had our house on the market for a few months with no bites. Circumstances led me

Current Reiki Room

to relocate my Reiki room to my home, thus creating a beautiful room to practice in; as a result my husband and I decided it might be best to take our house off the market and stay put.

Curveball time - then we sold it the next day!

We had no idea where we were going, but knew instinctively that this was now our way forwards.

This however threw my Reiki room up in the air - and had me wondering "what now?" I have so many other projects on the go, do I focus solely on them and not my Reiki practice? My Reiki Master training is booked in for March; I love Reiki; you see it has changed everything for me, and allowed me to help countless others on their journeys.

It is believed that Reiki is the life force energy that runs through us all - that connects us all - and my experience has proved this to me over and over. So there was no leaving Reiki behind, even if I wanted to! Which I don't! So I will adapt and figure it out as my journey progresses.

Solitary Retreat

After my group meditation sessions at The Bull, in Long Melford finished, I decided to take a bit of time out. I felt I needed to balance my energies and make sure I was alligned with my ideas moving forward. That they were not simply 'shoulds' I felt I should take in order to to progress and not be stagnant; because if this was the case I felt I was effectively 'abusing' my masculine energies.

Therefore in November I spent a few days on a Solitary Retreat where, much to my surprise, I discovered I do actually have an imagination and I am creative! I started writing poetry of all things - this was totally alien to me but after some deep immersion in nature the words were flowing.

I have always loved reading, and started to figure out that perhaps books, poems and articles were a path to follow - writing was afterall good way to put my ideas across to people. Allowing others the autonomy to decide what sat right with them and what didn't - a small change of perspective can dramatically impact a person's life and outlook - but it has to be on their terms.

Meditation was also a big part of my solitary time, the mere ability to be able to be with yourself with no distractions, to sit with any fears that may be lurking deep down and realise that you are safe. How 'being present' negates all rumination and anxiety.

The solitary retreat was a beautiful experience, one of which I will do more regularly and also highly recommend.

Moving forwards - my Heartfelt Missions...

The mission of Self-Love & Forgiveness

Healing is vital for a healthy life, but it is important to remember that to heal we are often untangling sometimes very tangled energies - and we have to do it gently.

The strongest place to be working from, therefore, is from a place of safety - where you feel completely secure in yourself.

Self-love creates this safety and security within and gives you a strong platform from which you are then able to work through these tangled energies - energies (emotions) that, in many cases, have been avoided for many years.

Self-forgiveness prevents you from being hard on yourself; accepting you made mistakes but were acting in the best way you knew how to with the tools you then had (no matter how illogical it may seem to you in the now). Healing will inevitably start to untangle related energies to such mistakes - the big one being guilt.

I cannot stress enough that without the ability to really embrace self-forgiveness, this guilt will eat away at you - and could send you spiralling downwards as you beat yourself up.

The real magic of self-love and forgiveness is the natural alchemisation of your internal energies. Energies will naturally start to flow, your subconscious no longer needing to keep them locked in place. This in turn will eliminate many of resulting symptoms that presented as 'the stuff' you wanted to get rid of; negating the many rabbitholes you could have found yourself going down. Result: a gentler, faster and more complete healing experience - enabling you to move forwards in your life.

Therefore self-love and forgiveness is, in my mind, imperative. The 'work' involved is not onerous, all that is really needed is trust in you and faith that love conquers all.

Working with the younger generation.

We live in a world where the message is "be kind to others" - a truly liberating and healing message. However, more often than not, us adults do not even know how to be kind to themselves, and yet we expect our teenagers to 'get on with it'. If you cannot be kind to yourself, it makes being kind to others a challenge, internally and externally. I want to change this.

Coupling this with the importance of holistic health - understanding how we can work with our energies and once again embrace self-love, forgiveness and belief - feeling, really feeling, and understanding how this makes us show up better not only for ourselves but for the world. This, I believe, will reduce countless anxieties and produce young adults who are confident, secure in themselves but also kind to others.

I have had countless conversations with other professionals - life coaches, holistic practitioners, counsellors - about the liberation you receive when you understand such things as limiting beliefs and how we hold ourselves back. These conversations always steering onto the comment 'why don't we get taught this stuff in school? Why?'

After briefly volunteering in a busy secondary school, I saw first hand how hard they work in their pastoral care departments, they are really up against it. The staff I worked with genuinely care and work so very hard, but are fighting fires all the time.

Thankfully, someone very inspiring reiterated to me recently - be the change you want to see - and this is exactly what I aim to be!

So, I am looking at some potential collaborations in this regard - which are very exciting!

Bringing awareness to the power of Self-Acceptance

Another heartfelt mission is guiding people to accept themselves as they are, today, right now - as well as what is going on in their life. I truly believe that by embracing this idea and releasing resistance to 'stuff' you 'don't like' is healing and freeing. We are then able to process 'stuck' internal energies (emotions) instead of suppressing them, it is what our bodies are crying out for.

"What you resist, persists." - Carl Jung

This does not mean that you do not want to change - on the contrary, by accepting who you are allows for your forward pathway to take shape, rather than that constant roundabout! This really goes hand in hand with self-love and forgiveness. More about this in a later blog.

Meditation

Meditation is one of the best tools I know for sorting your whole life out. It is something you can be guided in but also, with practice, you can do anywhere for free!

Some people are wary because sitting and just being can bring up some difficult memories, and once they are brought up they don't just go away. Which is why, once again, adopting a self-love and forgiveness practice at the very outset is so important.

So back to the curveball....moving

Whilst I am still offering Reiki (and currently with 10% off in January), I will not be in Great Cornard for much longer. Our new adventure is beyond anything I could have ever dreamt of, and is still local. However due to nothing being confirmed in the world of UK conveyancing until those contracts are exchanged, I am choosing to keep it under my hat. Let's just say though the healing space that I hope to offer (however it evolves) is the most enchanting space, and something very special. Teaser below....

My writings...

I will also be focussing on my writing, creating more regular blogs as well as book writing - which is very exciting! I will also type up and post some of my poetry - the thought of which makes me quiver - but I must remember I am safe, the fear is not real!

Accept the fear, process the fear and it will no longer stop me from doing.
